Our courses are designed for students interested in acquiring or perfecting French language skills, whether for academic, personal or professional reasons.
Courses for children and ladies are available all year round.
Our objective is to:
- enable students to acquire the ability to communicate effectively in current, everyday situations.
- develop and reinforce knowledge of written and spoken French.
Our approach:
The methods we use combine oral and written comprehension, expression, grammar and vocabulary enrichment.
An interpersonal teaching style is emphasized, with students encouraged to recognize the value of communication as they become active participants in exchange replicating real-life situations.
Levels offered:
All levels are offered : Please consider these levels to help you identify your existing level in French:
Complete beginners: No knowledge of French.
Elementary 1: You have some notions of French, can make simple sentences but have little knowledge of the grammar and can understand if spoken slowly.
Elementary 2: You can speak and understand in everyday situations but find it difficult to formulate long sentences and hold a conversation.
Intermediate 1: You can have an ordinary conversation and understand French speaking natives, but still make mistakes. You need to extend your knowledge of the various structures and tenses.
Intermediate 2: You have attained a good level in French. You now need to develop vocabulary.
Advanced 1: You have acquired a certain autonomy and you are at ease when communicating. Emphasis will be made on comprehension of texts and development of vocabulary and expression.
Advanced 2: You have an excellent level of French and are now seeking to focus on a special interest.
Le Centre Franco-Omanais and the French government offer summer scholarships in France to Omanese students who have made efforts and got good results after 150-200 hours of our courses.
The Centre International d'Etude des Langues of BREST welcomes them 2 months in July and August:

Le CFO is an official examination centre for the DELF and DALF exams :
First level DELF: units A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 / Second level DALF: B1, B2, B3, B4.
Examinations are held once a year in MAY.
